Stretcher, cot or gurney: what is the difference?
In deathcare the words overlap. A mortuary cot is a wheeled, height-adjustable stretcher that loads into a removal vehicle. A stretcher can be anything from a folding carry stretcher to a cot. What weight capacity do I need?
Standard removals are covered by a 550 to 600 lb cot. Keep at least one 1,000 lb bariatric cot available; the TITAN 1200XL starts at $1,401.
Which cot is easiest for one person to load?
Loading height matters more than capacity. The TITAN 500T has a 32″ load-end height made for full-size vehicles, and the powered 1000-PMC1 lifts on battery power.
Do the cots come assembled?
The TITAN 500E ships fully assembled with a mattress pad, buckle-strap restraints and a fitted cover.
Can I finance cots or pay by purchase order?
Yes. Apply on our financing page, pay by card, or send a purchase order. Many buyers also use Section 179 to deduct the cost in the year the equipment goes into service.
